Job Description

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role are to implement the required action plan, manage inventory management activities to support efforts to achieve productivity. The role shall carry out tactical activities to have inventory in stock.

The assigned territories include Fluid Power businesses in India. The specific responsibilities will fall into three primary areas:

Maximum 3 pointers per accountability

Accountability #1: Customer (Internal / External Stakeholders)

  • Ensure a safe working environment by proactively identifying risks, enforcing safety standards, and driving a zero-accident culture.
  • Ensure adherence to the production plan as per the S&OP team, with timely delivery through effective coordination with logistics and strict compliance with quality protocols using lean practices.
  • Ensure full compliance with international standards and documentation systems, supporting successful audits while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and process discipline.

Accountability #2: Process / Performance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategies that improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize manpower utilization.
  • Drive process excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring consistent achievement of production KPIs.
  • Track and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs), including OEE, six major losses, rejection rate, and downtime, to strengthen overall operational performance.

Accountability #3: People:

  • Develop and lead a skilled, disciplined, and engaged workforce to enhance productivity, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Optimize manpower utilization across shifts to ensure efficient execution of production plans and achievement of operational targets.
  • Build and sustain a high-performance team through structured coaching, mentoring, and continuous skill development of operators and supervisors.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The incumbent reports Senior Manager – Manufacturing & operate in individual contributor capacity.

Requirements And Preferred Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

This person must have at least 5 years hands-on experience in in operational activities in the assigned countries or region.

  • Minimum 3-5 years, proven track record in operational activities.
  • BE/ BTech in production/mechanical Engineering.

Required Skills

  • Sound knowledge of Standard Work Procedure in Manufacturing.
  • Good knowledge of different tools of Production Process and Quality Concepts.
  • Working knowledge of assembly Process with high changeover numbers.
  • Good Planning and Organizing Capabilities.
  • Leadership & Innovative Skills
