Job Description
The Assistant Manager in the Welding Department, specifically for the SUP-Weld-OPS-SAWL role, is pivotal in overseeing the entire welding process within the pipe manufacturing unit. This role demands a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to ensuring that all operations align with API and ISO standards. The individual will be responsible for managing resources efficiently to maximize productivity and efficiency within the welding operations department. A significant aspect of the role involves planning and controlling production to meet both organizational goals and customer requirements. The Assistant Manager will conduct thorough risk assessments and manage potential risks, ensuring adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards. Leadership is key, as the role requires fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and encouraging interdependencies within the team. A global mindset and strong business and commercial acumen are essential, as is the ability to promote a positive work environment that encourages team members to reach their full potential. The role also involves acting as a functional expert in operation and QA/QC for the pipe industry, providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
