Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Payments Domain (BFSI)

We are looking for an experienced Payments Domain Expert (SME) to provide in-depth functional expertise for our digital banking and payments platform. The SME will be instrumental in guiding product development, client implementations, and domain innovation in retail and corporate payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the go-to expert for all functional aspects of domestic and cross-border payments systems.
• Lead functional discussions with internal teams and clients, covering areas such as:
• NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI
• SWIFT, SEPA, ISO 20022
• ACH/NACH
• Digital wallets and real-time payments
• Translate regulatory and industry standards into functional and product requirements.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering teams to define roadmap features.
• Support client RFP responses and solution demonstrations as a domain authority.
• Contribute to knowledge repositories, internal training, and process documents.
• Review and validate BRDs, FSDs, solution blueprints, and integration requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 11+ years of experience in BFSI domain with at least 5+ years in payments.
• Deep functional knowledge in payment processing, clearing, settlement, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with real-time payment systems, cross-border remittances, and payment APIs.
• Understanding of payment rails, ISO 20022, SWIFT MT/MX, and payment gateway integrations.
• Experience in client-facing roles, ideally in product companies or solution consulting.

Good to Have:

• Exposure to intellect digital core, CBX, or similar digital banking/payment platforms.
• Certification in Certified Payments Professional (ETA CPP) or NACHA.
• Experience with cloud-native payment solutions and API-based ecosystems.
