Your impact
As the Senior Subject Matter Expert (SME)
This role is responsible for shaping technical strategy, ensuring compliance with global standards, and guiding large-scale projects that impact mission-critical operations. You will act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, while mentoring engineering teams and driving innovation in electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement the organization's electrical engineering vision, standards, and long-term roadmap.
- Advise executive leadership on electrical risk, resilience, and investment priorities.
- Represent the company in external forums, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
- Technical Authority
- Provide expert guidance on high-voltage distribution, grid integration, renewable energy systems, and advanced protection schemes.
- Lead design reviews, failure analyses, and technology evaluations for enterprise-scale projects.
- Ensure compliance with international codes (IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE) and emerging regulatory frameworks.
- Project & Program Oversight
- Oversee multi-million-dollar electrical infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning.
- Drive innovation in energy efficiency, sustainability, and smart grid technologies.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders in mechanical, civil, IT, and operations to deliver integrated solutions.
- Risk & Compliance
- Establish governance frameworks for electrical safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead audits, incident investigations, and enterprise-wide risk assessments.
- Develop contingency and resilience strategies for critical facilities.
- Mentorship & Capability Building
- Build organizational expertise by mentoring senior engineers and managers.
- Develop advanced training programs and knowledge-sharing platforms.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Here's what you'll need
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/ Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale electrical projects (data centers, industrial plants, utilities, or infrastructure).
- Deep knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and emerging technologies.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
