About the role :

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for creative technology and operational excellence PropVRa leading immersive tech company and a subsidiary of Square Yardsis looking for a Head of Studio to unify and lead our production efforts across India and Dubai. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for overseeing studio operations, managing cross-functional pipelines, resolving critical escalations, and driving performancewhile shaping the culture and strategic direction of our creative studio.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision

* Partner closely with the Executive Producer/CEO to shape long-term studio strategy, drive innovation, and expand PropVR's creative and technical capabilities.

* Identify emerging technologies, production trends, and market shifts to keep the studio ahead of the curve.

Studio Vision & Oversight

* Maintain a high-level view of project health, resourcing, and timelines using dashboards and data-driven tools.

* Support strategic decisions and project prioritization without micromanaging day-to-day tasks.

Escalation & Triage Leadership

* Act as the escalation point for critical client or production challengesresolving issues efficiently while keeping morale high.

* Maintain trust and accountability across teams during high-pressure moments.

Smart Resourcing & Talent Growth

* Forecast capacity needs and lead hiring across India.

* Oversee onboarding and ensure skill alignment to evolving project needs.

Pipeline & Process Management

* Bring a deep understanding of 3D/CG/VFX pipelines to guide technical decisions, enhance workflows, and maintain quality standards.

* Foster alignment across departments through standardized tools and documentation.

Operations & Systems Optimization

* Design scalable systems and studio-wide protocols that streamline production and communication.

* Ensure teams across locations operate with clarity, consistency, and efficiency.

Studio Unification & Culture

* Bridge the India and Dubai teams through shared tools, rituals, and cultural alignment.

* Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented studio environment.

Learning & Development Initiatives

* Implement an L&D framework focused on upskilling, mentoring, and long-term career development.

You Bring :

* 8+ years of experience in production, studio operations, or pipeline rolespreferably in 3D, animation, VFX, or CG.

* Demonstrated leadership in resolving client and internal team escalations.

* Strategic thinker with a knack for balancing big-picture goals and daily execution.

* Strong grasp of end-to-end 3D production workflows (tools and pipeline logic).

* Excellent time management, communication, and stakeholder handling skills.

* Proven track record in hiring and building high-performing creative or technical teams.

Nice to Have:

* Experience designing studio processes or formal L&D frameworks.

* Familiarity with production tracking tools like ShotGrid, Ftrack, or equivalent.
