Position Overview

A Student Visa Consultant is responsible for guiding students through the entire process of applying for international education and securing the appropriate study visa. The consultant provides expert advice on course selection, university applications, visa documentation, interview preparation, and complies with immigration regulations for various countries.

Key Responsibilities
1. Student Counselling
  • Assess students academic background, financial capability, and career goals.
  • Provide guidance on suitable courses, universities, and study destinations.
  • Explain visa options, requirements, timelines, and processes.
2. Application & Documentation Support
  • Assist students in preparing and reviewing documents required for admissions and visa filing.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with immigration guidelines.
  • Coordinate with universities for application submissions, offer letters, and CAS/COE.
3. Visa Processing
  • Prepare visa applications for countries such as Canada, USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.
  • Guide students on financial documentation, SOPs, GTE requirements, and biometrics.
  • Schedule visa appointments and track application status.
4. Communication & Coordination
  • Communicate updates to students and parents throughout the application phase.
  • Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, embassies, and partner agents.
  • Conduct seminars/webinars or participate in education fairs.
5. Compliance & Reporting
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws, policy changes, and university admission rules.
  • Manage CRM systems and maintain accurate records of student applications.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports for management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in any field (Education, Management, or related fields preferred).
  • Prior experience in overseas education, visa processing, or counselling preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of international education systems and visa procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and work under deadlines.
Preferred Attributes
  • Multilingual abilities (advantageous).
  • Sales or counselling experience.
  • Understanding of education pathways, scholarship processes, and international tests (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools or student management systems.
