A Student Relation Officer (SRO) for Study Abroad facilitates the end-to-end international admission process, guiding students on university selection, visa documentation, and application submissions. They build rapport with prospective students, handle queries, maintain CRM records, and act as a liaison between students, institutions, and internal teams to ensure high enrollment conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Counseling: Advise prospective students on suitable international programs, universities, and destinations based on academic goals.
- Application & Visa Support: Guide students through the entire application process, including Statement of Purpose (SOP) preparation, document verification, and visa application formalities.
- Query Resolution & Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact to resolve queries from students and parents regarding tuition fees, admission deadlines, and, in some cases, scholarship opportunities.
- Record Maintenance: Update and maintain accurate student profiles, interaction logs, and application statuses in the CRM system.
- Marketing & Recruitment Support: Participate in workshops, education fairs, and seminars to promote study abroad programs and convert leads.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in any field (a relevant field is preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience in education consultancy, international education, or client relations is advantageous.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with students and parents effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
- Knowledge: Understanding of foreign university application processes and international visa requirements
