Role Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Lead Civil & Structural Engineer with over 15 years of experience in the design, analysis, and management of civil and structural systems for infrastructure, industrial, and building projects. The ideal candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure technical excellence, and drive the successful delivery of complex engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and review of structural systems including foundations, frames, slabs, bridges, retaining structures, and industrial facilities.
- Oversee civil works such as grading, drainage, roadways, and site development.
- Perform advanced structural analysis and design using international codes (IS, ACI, Eurocode, BS, etc.).
- Prepare and validate engineering deliverables including design reports, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Coordinate with geotechnical, architectural, MEP, and construction teams for integrated solutions.
- Review and approve shop drawings, vendor data, and construction documentation.
- Conduct site visits for technical inspections, quality assurance, and problem resolution.
- Interface with clients, consultants, and statutory authorities for technical presentations and approvals.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and draftsmen, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to proposal development, resource planning, and project budgeting.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil and structural engineering design and project management.
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional certification is highly desirable.
- Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
Desired Skillset
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000).
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and site practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and integration with structural models.
- Knowledge of sustainability and resilient infrastructure design principles.
