The opportunity:
The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning.

How you'll make an impact:

  • You will be a part of the Industrial Cooling system- Steel Structural Engineering team, you will be supporting the project engineers / project lead engineers to develop project specific engineering documents and drawings for submission to customer and the documents required for manufacturing of Steel Structures for Industrial (Coolers).

  • You will be an individual contributor who would deliver the tasks as per the given inputs and when required need to work in coordination with other colleagues and should exhibit good collaborative skills to complete the task.

  • You may also interact with other departments like Primary Engineering, Project Management and Production units if required.

  • Ensure all necessary inputs are available from stakeholders.

  • Preparation of Steel structural models and detailing in Tekla.

  • Preparation of Design calculation (in Staad. Pro & Idea-statiCa) of Steel Support Structures for Industrial Coolers.

  • Prepare project specific detail designs and manufacturing drawings.

  • Self-review & peer review of documents.

  • Delivery of designs on time with Quality and coordinating with the other team members and project lead engineer.

  • Directly responsible for maintaining and updating the documentation for respective projects as per quality process.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:

  • Years of experience: 5 - 9 years with B.E / M.E in Mechanical, Civil & Structural Engineering.

  • Hand on experience in Structural engineering using Tekla, STAAD. Pro & Idea-static.

  • Familiarity with codes and applicable standards, applicable for structure design (American, European, Canadian etc.) is Mandatory.

  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge tools like MSOffice etc.

  • Knowledge of Galvanization & painting procedures.

  • Knowledge of international standards such as
