Role: Assistant Manager, Strategy and Analytics, Office of VC

We are looking for a high-agency, analytical problem-solver to work directly with the Vice Chancellor's Office on institutional strategy, performance intelligence, and cross-functional execution.

This role sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and action, translating complex inputs into clear decisions, measurable outcomes, and institutional impact.

Reporting to: Director and Chief of Staff, Office of VC

Job Description

Performance Intelligence and Dashboards

Design and own institution-wide performance dashboards (e.g. Admissions, Faculty, Research, Finance, Student Outcomes)

Move from static reports to live, decision-ready dashboards using Power BI / similar tools

Generate monthly VC-level insights: what's working, what's off-track, and what needs intervention

Strategic Planning & Execution

Solve priority problems through structured analysis and deep dives

Conduct benchmarking with leading global and Indian institutions

Support development and execution of strategic initiatives

Translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations and measurable outcomes

Own and drive cross-functional projects end-to-end, partnering with stakeholders across the Office of Registrar, academic leadership, and other functions to ensure execution and measurable outcomes

Communication & Leadership Support

Create board-ready presentations, briefs, and decision notes for leadership

Translate complex analysis into simple, compelling narratives

Support internal and external communication on key institutional priorities

Who are we looking for

Someone who thinks like a consultant and executes like an operator; able to move from data insight action, quickly

Strong in analytical problem-solving, with the ability to work with large datasets and translate them into decision-ready insights

Hands-on with tools like Advanced Excel (modelling, scenario analysis) and Power BI / Tableau (dashboarding)

AI-native in working style; uses tools like ChatGPT/Claude for analysis, synthesis, and productivity; able to design AI-assisted workflows

Able to break ambiguity into clear frameworks, structured thinking, and actionable recommendations

Strong in communication and storytelling; can create clear, compelling, executive-ready presentations and notes

Able to work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders with maturity and discretion
