Job Description

  • Support the local Category Management team to Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategies.
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with Hitachi Energys business objectives and sustainability goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and process optimization through strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Support the local NAM team in Supplier Identification, Registration and Evaluation.
  • Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify and qualify potential suppliers, ensuring they meet Hitachi Energys quality and sustainability standards.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and capabilities and establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers.
  • Support the local NAM team in Negotiations and Contract Management.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements in terms of pricing, quality, delivery, and contractual terms.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energys policies and legal standards.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, production, sales, and tendering teams, to understand and address procurement needs.
  • Provide expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams in supplier selection, contract management, and procurement best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.

Your background:

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must have 5 years experience.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence and build productive relationships.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools, contract management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, strategic sourcing methodologies, and market analysis.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, demonstrate initiative, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactiveness and problem-solving skills are high priority to succeed in this role.
