Role Overview
The incumbent will lead strategic stakeholder engagement and policy advocacy initiatives across renewable energy, solar manufacturing, hydrogen, biofuels, and conventional power businesses. The role requires sustained engagement with central ministries, regulators, state governments, and industry bodies to advance Jakson's strategic interests and strengthen institutional positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive corporate advocacy and policy engagement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Strengthen engagement with key policymakers, regulators, and government institutions including Ministry of Power, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Central Pollution Control Board, Ministry of Defence, Central Electricity Authority, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, NITI Aayog
- Maintain active presence and engagement within various associations such as - Solar Developers Association of India, Indian Sugar Mills Association, Grain Ethanol Manufacturers Association, Confederation of Indian Industries, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association, Indian Sugar Mills Association, Grain Ethanol Manufacturers Association
- Build and manage relationships with state government departments and authorities for intrastate projects and regulatory interventions.
- Track state-level solar manufacturing ecosystem, hydrogen initiatives, and biofuel developments.
- Build networks across key states where Jakson operates or plans expansion; support intrastate project interventions.
- Facilitate leadership participation in policy consultations and sector forums.
- Prepare policy notes, briefs, regulatory submissions, and leadership presentations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in:
- Stakeholder management
- Government projects
- Strategic relations
- Industry association engagement
- Policy advocacy
