Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Market Intelligence
Track market, technology, and regulatory trends (EV, NVH, emissions, localization).
Identify new product, customer, and segment opportunities.
Conduct competitor and price benchmarking.
Develop 35 year growth roadmap and productmarket strategy.
Recommend investments in tooling, automation, and processes based on ROI.
Customer Relationship & Account Growth
Build strong relationships with OEM & Tier-1 purchase, engineering, and SQA teams.
Act as the voice of the customer within the organisation. Lead the junior Key Account Managers
team and delegate effectively.
Lead customer reviews, audits, and escalation management.
Develop account-wise plans to increase the share of business with existing customers.
Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Business Development & New Programs
Track upcoming platforms and sourcing cycles for new business opportunities.
Lead RFQ evaluation, quotation strategy, and Business nomination follow-ups.
Maintain a strong opportunity pipeline and business winloss analysis.
Take strategic decisions on RFQ participation- Based on overall customer potential, EBITA
contributions, Gross Margin contribution.
Commercial, Pricing & Receivables
Own part and tooling costing and pricing strategy.
Lead commercial negotiations, annual price revisions, and VA/VE initiatives.
Drive recovery of RM price increases and other claims.
Support Finance on receivables and payment discipline.
Financial Planning & Business Strategy
Support annual budgeting and business planning with Finance.
Provide market inputs for capacity and Capex planning.
Evaluate investments using ROI and payback.
Export & Global Business
Develop export customers and participate in global sourcing programs.
Handle overseas customers (including Europe/Italy/Germany).
Understand Incoterms, logistics, and basic trade compliance.
Communicate fluently in English.
Product, Process & Continuous Improvement
Develop working knowledge of rubber materials, molding processes, tooling, and
APQP/PPAP.
Engage with plant and engineering to support feasibility and cost optimization.
Improve RFQ, CRM, quotation, and program tracking systems.
Brand Representation & Networking
Deliver high-quality customer presentations and business reviews.
Represent company at customer meets, conferences, and industry events.
Build strong industry network and brand presence.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop marketing and commercial teams.
Set clear KPIs and accountability.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, SCM, Production, and
Finance.
Qualification & Experience
Education:
Engineering (Mechanical / Polymer / Production preferred)
MBA / PGDM (Marketing or Finance preferred)
Experience:
12 - 20 years in the automotive components industry
Strong OEM and Tier-1 customer exposure
Rubber/elastomer / plastic component experience preferred
Export or global sourcing exposure is desirable
Experience in business strategy, budgeting, and investments
