The Strategic Marketing Leader - Diagnostics Platform India is responsible for developing and driving the India Diagnostics platform strategy across Operating Companies (OpCos). This role leads upstream strategic marketing, providing market, portfolio, and growth direction to accelerate sustainable performance across the Diagnostics platform in India.

This position reports to the Vice President, Diagnostics Platform, India and is part of the Diagnostics group at the Danaher Corporation, located in Mumbai or Bengaluru, and will be an on‑site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead strategic marketing for the India Diagnostics platform, defining market, portfolio, and growth priorities aligned with regional and global Diagnostics strategies.
  • Own upstream marketing and market strategy, including market assessment, segmentation, competitive landscape analysis, policy and regulatory impact, and emerging technology trends.
  • Partner with OpCo marketing, sales, and commercial leaders to translate platform strategy into aligned operating company priorities and execution plans.
  • Lead Diagnostics platform strategic planning processes in India, including annual strategy development and multi‑OpCo alignment.
  • Identify and accelerate cross‑OpCo growth opportunities through platform collaboration forums, strategic initiatives, and selected external partnerships.
  • Champion P2P (Problem‑to‑Portfolio) by identifying unmet market and customer needs and translating them into clearly defined project charters and portfolio priorities.
  • Provide robust market and customer input into product planning and NPI processes, ensuring disciplined voice‑of‑customer representation in portfolio decisions.
  • Support innovation and localization strategies relevant to the India Diagnostics market, including participation in selective partnership or inorganic opportunity evaluations.
  • Deliver executive‑level insights and recommendations for leadership reviews, governance forums, and strategic communications.
  • Apply DBS tools and mindset to drive structured problem solving, prioritization, and sustainable execution across the Diagnostics platform.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in strategic marketing, upstream marketing, product strategy, or portfolio management within diagnostics, medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience operating at a platform, regional, or multi‑business level, integrating perspectives across products, OpCos, and customer segments.
  • Proven experience influencing senior stakeholders across matrixed, cross‑company environments.
  • Strong expertise in strategy development, market analysis, P2P, and product planning processes.
  • Hands‑on experience applying DBS or comparable continuous improvement / operating systems in a leadership role.
  • Experience synthesizing complex market and business data into clear, executive‑ready strategic recommendations.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel about 40%

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced business degree.
  • Prior experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or platform‑level roles.
  • Experience working in India or other high‑growth / emerging healthcare markets.
  • Exposure to healthcare policy, government stakeholders, or localization strategies.
