Job Description
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the store facility, ensuring efficient and organized handling of materials and components.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and implement inventory control measures to prevent shortages or excesses.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials while optimizing inventory turnover.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the storage area to ensure a secure and hazard-free working environment.
- Supervise a team of storekeepers, providing leadership, training, and guidance to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Regularly conduct audits and quality checks on stored items to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and logistics, to streamline the supply chain and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the optimization of storage processes, including layout planning and space utilization.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, storage costs, and operational efficiency for regular review by the Plant Head.
