Role Purpose
To effectively manage all store operations including receipt, storage, issuance, and accounting of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, and finished goods. Ensure proper stock control, documentation, compliance, and smooth coordination with purchase, production, and dispatch teams for uninterrupted operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Material Receipt & Inward
- Ensure proper checking of materials received as per purchase orders.
- Verify quantity, quality, and specifications in coordination with QA/QC.
- Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and update ERP system.
- Ensure safe unloading and proper storage of incoming material.
2. Storage & Preservation
- Systematic stacking, binning, and tagging of materials for easy identification.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices.
- Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage, pilferage, or deterioration.
- Regular housekeeping of store areas.
3. Material Issue & Outward
- Issue material against authorized requisitions/work orders.
- Ensure correct quantity, timely issuance, and documentation.
- Maintain records of material issued to production, maintenance, or external parties.
- Coordinate with dispatch/logistics team for timely outward movement of finished goods.
4. Stock Control & Documentation
- Maintain minimum/reorder levels and ensure stock availability.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliations.
- Prepare and share MIS reports on stock status, consumption trends, and variances.
- Manage ERP entries, stock registers, and physical vs system stock reconciliation.
5. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate stock data.
- Implement corrective actions for discrepancies.
6. Coordination & Support
- Liaise with Purchase, Production, Quality, and Finance teams for smooth operations.
- Coordinate with vendors/logistics partners for material movement.
- Ensure timely support to all departments without affecting production schedules.

Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Diploma in Supply Chain / Materials Management / Commerce.
- 815 years (Manager) of relevant experience in Stores & Inventory.
- Hands-on experience in ERP / SAP / Inventory Management Software.
