Inventory & Store Operations
- Maintain stock of raw materials (paper, board, inks, chemicals, films, adhesives, etc.).
- Manage packing materials, finished goods, and production scrap.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile differences.
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or over‑stocking.
Material Receiving & Issue
- Receive materials as per PO and verify quantity, quality, and specifications.
- Properly label, stack, and store materials to avoid damage.
- Issue materials against authorized requisitions from production.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for material inspection if required.
Documentation & Records
- Maintain GRN, issue slips, stock registers, and ERP/system entries.
- Track batch numbers, GSM, sizes, and lot details (important for printing jobs).
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports.
- Support internal and external audits related to inventory.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with purchase, production, and dispatch teams.
- Inform management about slow‑moving, non‑moving, or obsolete stock.
- Assist planning team with material availability updates.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Maintain proper housekeeping (5S) in the store.
- Follow safety norms in handling inks, chemicals, and heavy materials.
- Ensure proper storage conditions to maintain material quality.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of printing and packaging materials.
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel / ERP / inventory systems).
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Understanding of inventory control methods.
- Ability to supervise helpers/store assistants.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
