Job Purpose

The Store In-Charge is responsible for complete material control of Siemens control panel manufacturingright from receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, inventory control, and reconciliationensuring zero production stoppage, zero material loss, and full traceability as per project, BOM, and QA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Receiving & Inspection

Receive all incoming Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Phoenix, wiring, copper, busbar, MCCB, PLC, drives, and panel accessories.

Verify material against:

Purchase Order (PO)

Invoice

Packing list

BOM

Coordinate with QC for:

Physical condition

Correct rating & model (Siemens part numbers, firmware, variants)

Generate GRN in ERP (Zoho / SAP / Excel system).

2. Inventory & Stock Control

Maintain accurate stock of:

Siemens PLCs, HMIs, Drives

Breakers, contactors, relays

Panel accessories

Wires, ducts, terminals, copper, busbars

Maintain:

Minimum stock levels

Reorder levels

Fast / slow-moving inventory

Avoid excess, dead, and obsolete stock.

3. Material Issuance to Production

Issue material against:

Approved BOM

Work order

Panel job card

Ensure:

Correct material

Correct quantity

FIFO method

Track:

Job-wise consumption

Balance material

Returnable surplus

4. Siemens Panel Compliance

Ensure all Siemens products are:

Genuine

As per Siemens MLFB

Correct firmware & version

Maintain Siemens traceability for:

PLC

Drives

IO modules

HMIs

5. Documentation & ERP Control

Maintain:

GRN

Issue slips

Return slips

Stock ledger

Project-wise material tracking

Update ERP system daily (Zoho / SAP / Excel).

Ensure 100% stock matches physical stock.

6. Physical Store Management

Arrange material as per:

Electrical category

Project

Siemens / Non-Siemens

Ensure:

Proper bin location

Labeling

Safety and cleanliness

Maintain ESD-safe area for PLCs, HMIs & drives.

7. Coordination

Coordinate with:

Purchase for shortages

Production for material demand

QA for inspection

Accounts for GRN & stock valuation

Support audit, Siemens inspection, and customer visits.

8. Loss Prevention & Control

Prevent:

Pilferage

Wrong issue

Misplacement

Investigate:

Stock mismatch

Missing items

Responsible for store discipline.

Key Skills Required

Deep knowledge of Siemens control panels

Strong understanding of:

PLC, HMI, VFD, MCC, PCC, MCCB, ACB

Panel wiring material

Busbar systems

ERP handling (Zoho, SAP, or similar)

BOM reading

Inventory planning

Audit & compliance handling

Experience & Qualification

Diploma / Degree in Electrical / Electronics

1012 years experience in:

Control panel manufacturing store

Siemens panel environment preferred

Performance Metrics (KPI)

Zero production delay due to material shortage

Stock accuracy 99%

Zero Siemens part mismatch

Zero expired or damaged stock

Zero audit observation
