Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Storage, Backup and Replication Administrator, located in Bengaluru South. The Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise-grade storage infrastructure, backup systems, and data replication processes to ensure data availability and integrity. Day-to-day activities include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, optimizing storage and backup solutions, implementing disaster recovery strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address storage needs and security requirements.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Backup Administrator using CommVault

• Hands-on experience with backup solutions, including CommVault, Symantec NetBackup, and EMC Networker

• Engineer will be part of a 24/7 Backup Operations team and will be directly responsible for CommVault backup processes

• Job-specific responsibilities include managing and administrating CommVault backup environments, troubleshooting failures, and optimizing backup performance

• The candidate should be proficient in backup configuration, scheduling, and retention policy setup on Windows and Unix (HP-UX, Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) servers

• Must be able to support and troubleshoot backup failures, data recovery requests, and performance issues

• Provide status and progress reports for backup-related activities on a regular/periodic basis

• Hands-on experience in managing, operating, and administering CommVault environments

Qualifications:

• BE/ B. Tech/ M. Tech/ MSc/ MCA qualification or equivalent

• Certification in CommVault backup administration would be preferred
