Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Storage Administrator with 1-3 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise storage systems including Dell EMC Unity/VNX, Hitachi, IBM, and NetApp. The ideal candidate will also have strong expertise in Brocade SAN switch administration. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, performance tuning, provisioning, and troubleshooting of storage infrastructure to ensure high availability and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage storage systems: Dell EMC Unity/VNX, Hitachi (VSP series), IBM (Flash System), and NetApp (ONTAP).
- Configure, monitor, and maintain Brocade SAN switches including zoning, firmware upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Perform LUN provisioning, storage allocation, and decommissioning tasks.
- Monitor storage performance and capacity and generate reports for forecasting and planning.
- Implement and maintain storage replication, snapshots, and backup integration.
- Work closely with backup, virtualization, and server teams to ensure seamless infrastructure operations.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and change management processes.
- Maintain documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in enterprise storage administration.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Dell EMC Unity/VNX
- Hitachi Storage (VSP, HNAS, etc.)
- IBM Storage ( FlashSystem)
- NetApp (ONTAP, SnapMirror, SnapVault)
- Brocade SAN switches (zoning, fabric management)
- Strong understanding of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and NFS/CIFS protocols.
- Familiarity with storage monitoring tools and performance tuning.
- Experience with ITIL processes and ticketing systems.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with backup solutions
- Exposure to cloud storage or hybrid environments.
