About the Role:

We are looking for passionate STEM Educators / Facilitators who enjoy working closely with students and guiding them through meaningful, real-world learning experiences.

At 21K Schools Learning Garage, STEM education goes beyond theory. We are looking for passionate STEM Educators who enjoy building, experimenting, and guiding learners through curiosity-driven, experiential learning journeys.

Role: STEM Educators

Mode: Onsite

Experience: 2 to 5 years in STEM education, science teaching, robotics, coding, or hands-on learning environments

Location: Delhi

Role & responsibilities :

1. STEM Knowledge & Industry Awareness

A trained STEM Instructor is expected to possess working knowledge of core STEM concepts and commonly used learning tools in an experiential learning environment. This includes general awareness of STEM kits, platforms, and equipment used in schools and Learning Garage setups. The instructor should also maintain awareness of:

  • Current STEM learning practices and tools
  • Market-available STEM resources suitable for different age groups
  • General quality and safety standards followed in school-based STEM programs

2. Project Planning & Activity Development: A STEM Instructor should be capable of planning and conducting hands-on STEM activities and projects on an ongoing basis. This includes:

  • Designing age-appropriate and skill-appropriate projects
  • Introducing variation in activities and themes to maintain student interest
  • Updating or adapting projects based on classroom engagement and learning needs
  • Ensuring projects support problem-solving, creativity, and practical learning

3. Student-Centred Instruction STEM instruction should be delivered with consideration for student age, learning ability, and interest. A trained instructor is expected to:

  • Adjust session delivery based on general student skill levels
  • Support students with different learning paces during activities
  • Encourage curiosity, exploration, and active participation
  • Walk through the Learning Garage and Overview.
  • Parents Walk through the admission process.
  • Maintain an inclusive and supportive learning environment

4. Session Delivery & Classroom Engagement: A STEM Instructor is responsible for delivering sessions in an engaging and interactive manner. This includes:

  • Conducting sessions in a collaborative and student-friendly way
  • Encouraging teamwork and communication among students
  • Explaining concepts using simple, practical approaches
  • Maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere

5. Lab Readiness & Equipment Handling:

The instructor should ensure that the STEM lab is prepared before each session and properly maintained after use. Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up required tools and materials prior to sessions
  • Ensuring safe usage of electronic and mechanical components
  • Organising, storing, and maintaining equipment responsibly
  • Keeping the lab ready for subsequent sessions

6. Observation, Feedback & Continuous Improvement:

A trained STEM Instructor should regularly observe student engagement and learning outcomes. This includes:

  • Informally assessing student understanding during sessions
  • Gathering basic feedback from students
  • Identifying areas for improvement in activities or delivery
  • Making gradual improvements to enhance learning quality

7. Collaboration & Communication:

The instructor is expected to work collaboratively with internal teams to support program goals. This includes:

  • Coordinating with cross functional team members associated.
  • Sharing general updates on sessions and activities.
  • Sharing Photos and videos of the successful sessions with Parents and maintaining them in Google Drives.
  • Supporting events, demonstrations, or STEM-related initiatives
  • Maintaining clear and professional communication

8. Professional Development:

A STEM Instructor should continuously work towards improving their skills and instructional approach. This includes:

  • Staying updated with evolving STEM tools and teaching methods
  • Exploring new activity ideas and learning formats
  • Contributing to curriculum enhancement and instructional quality

9. Program Understanding & Learning Garage Support:

A trained instructor should have a broad understanding of Learning Garage program structure and delivery. This includes:

  • Supporting program execution through practical inputs.
  • Assisting in understanding student engagement patterns.
  • Providing observations related to session effectiveness.
  • Constant updates on NPS scores and improvement plan.
  • Supporting program refinement based on experience and outcomes.

10. Instructor Training & Program-Level Support:

A trained STEM Instructor with relevant experience may also support instructor training and program development initiatives. This includes:

  • Assisting in training or onboarding of new instructors.
  • Supporting understanding of STEM kits, tools, and activity execution. Providing general inputs related to suitable resources, age-wise implementation, and program setup.
  • Curriculum Delivery Assurance.
  • Supporting problem-solving and clarification related to STEM or Learning Garage activities when required.

11. Safety and Compliance:

A trained STEP Instructor is responsible for the safety and compliance management for the students available in the Learning Garage. This Includes:

  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols at all times.
  • Comply fully with POSH and POCSO guidelines and related child protection policies.
  • Follow all administrative processes and operational guidelines diligently.
  • Maintain professional, respectful, and transparent communication with parents.
  • Demonstrate appropriate, ethical, and child-friendly behaviour with all students at all times.
  • Any form of physical punishment, verbal abuse, or misconduct with children is strictly prohibited.

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience as a STEM Educator
  • Strong foundation in STEM concepts and experiential learning practices
  • Comfort working with STEM kits, tools, and lab-based activities
  • Experience working with school-age learners (K12 preferred)
  • Ability to simplify concepts and make learning engaging and practical
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Role involves onsite delivery of STEM programs in schools and Learning Garage / lab-based setups
  • Focus on activity-based, experiential, and student-centric learning

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related STEM discipline. Teaching credentials or certifications in STEM education, robotics, coding, or experiential learning will be an added advantage.

Work Location:

This is an onsite opportunity. Candidates must be willing to work onsite in STEM labs located in Delhi and adhere strictly to child safety and school compliance standards.
