We are seeking a motivated Content Editor to join our talented Zoological Records (ZR) team in Chennai/Hyderabad. This is the team of 11 member. As a Content editor in the ZR team you will select, analyze and interpret, and summarize scientific research and, as such, you should have comprehensive knowledge in a life sciences subject. Your role will require you to be target-driven and to meet defined quality standards.
About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Work experience (Fresher or at least 1 year of experience in content editing in a science-related field
- Knowledge on animal classification, systematic taxonomy Nomenclature will be added advantage.
- Education M.Sc. Zoology or related life science streams
- Knowledge in performing end of production cycle completeness, and accuracy tasks as assigned.
- Good scientific research and analytical skills, with attention to detail
- General computer proficiency (MS Office) and ability to quickly learn new software tools
- Good oral and written communication skills, with excellent command of English
- A good team player with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment.
- Effective time management
- Self-motivated with the ability to deliver consistently.

- Masters in life science (Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology). Knowledge on animal classification, systematic taxonomy Nomenclature will be added advantage.
What will you be doing in this role
- Apply zoology, systematic taxonomy, ICZN Nomenclature, microbiology, genetics and molecular biology concepts to curate animal and its biological related data from research articles in line with editorial policies
- Achieve weekly production volumes and consistently meet quality targets. Take active role within the team to ensure targets are met
- Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach towards process change
- Take initiative by raising, discussing, and resolving subject matter and production issues
- Maintain and develop scientific knowledge and skills training as required to complete work and stay current on scientific trends and developments related to your editorial responsibilities
