Job Description

The State Head - NR Relationship is a senior leadership role, typically within a bank, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the non-resident (NR) customer business across a designated state or region. This position involves strategic planning, team management, business development, and ensuring compliance to drive growth and profitability within the NR segment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Formulating and executing action plans in line with zonal and company-wide strategies for the non-resident business.
  • Business Growth: Driving sales and business development initiatives to achieve defined targets across various banking, wealth management, and asset products (e.g., liabilities, new acquisitions, fees).
  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth (HNI) and super-HNI non-resident clients, ensuring high client engagement and retention.
  • Team Management: Leading, managing, mentoring, and motivating a team of Area Heads and Relationship Managers, setting targets, tracking performance, and ensuring ongoing training and development.
  • Compliance and Operations: Overseeing key operations within the state to ensure adherence to all bank policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Customer Service: Ensuring the delivery of superior customer service, addressing client concerns, and optimizing service efficiency and quality across the branch network.
  • Market Analysis: Studying competitors, performing product benchmarking, and adapting national strategies to meet specific local market needs and opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and government officials. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, management, or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in leadership roles within the banking or financial services industry, specifically in non-resident or wealth management business, is crucial.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, strategic planning, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.
