Location: This position will be based in Juinagar, Navi Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting functional tests on blowers and compressors for pressure mapping, efficiency curves, transient response characteristics.
  • Plan and execute reliability tests, including life cycle, endurance, HALT/HASS testing, thermal cycling, vibration, fatigue and environmental stress tests on compressors/blowers used in fuelcell systems.
  • Design and develop test rigs for flow, pressure, and temperature measurements, including the selection of instrumentation and DAQ systems.
  • Prepare and update P&IDs, Instrumentation Loop Diagrams, and Process Hook-up Diagrams.
  • Conduct PSHR reviews and perform safety checks for electrical and mechanical test setups.
  • Perform functional, performance, and qualification testing of sensors, transducers, valves, weld joints, and mechanical components.
  • Perform DFMEA, identify failure modes, conduct root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage the setup, operation, calibration, and preventive maintenance of laboratory and test equipment.
  • Apply UL, KOSHA, EU, and American standards for safe component selection, testing, and compliance.
  • Execute qualification procedures, analyze test data, and prepare concise reports for stakeholders.
  • Update component and product specifications and support value engineering initiatives.
  • Support vendor qualification activities and identify alternative component suppliers.
  • Maintain clear communication across teams and ensure adherence to 5S practices in the laboratory.

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 68 years experience in Turbo-machinery and Highspeed blower/compressor testing.
  • Handson experience in motordrive systems, including control, testing, and performance validation.
  • Strong understanding of airflow dynamics, pressure systems, and thermodynamics.
  • Strong communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization with a multicultural team.
