Position Overview

Our developers bring passion, craftsmanship, and innovation to developing and delivering Intelex's software products, empowering our customers with industry-leading capabilities and user experiences. Working within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) practices and a DevOps culture, they contribute to building the next-generation platform using modern patterns such as microservices and micro frontends.

We seek a Staff Software Engineer with deep technical expertise and leadership experience, who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about building clean, performant, scalable web applications. This role will influence architectural decisions, guide technical strategy, and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical strategy and architecture for complex systems, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX designers, and Engineering leadership to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Drive design and implementation of new features and platform capabilities across multiple products.
  • Participate in and influence agile planning, proactively identify risks, and ensure delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Build and optimize scalable web applications using technologies like ReactJS, Webpack, .NET, SQL Server, and AWS.
  • Champion a security-first mindset across development activities and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Architecture, QA, Product Management, and other stakeholders to deliver best-in-class user experiences.
  • Mentor and coach engineers at all levels, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Advocate for engineering best practices, including code quality, performance, and user experience.
  • Drive continuous improvement across architecture, process, DevOps, and hosting strategies.
  • Serve as a technical thought leader, influencing technology adoption and long-term platform evolution.

Required

Technical Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in full-stack or front-end software development, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of .NET Framework/.NET Core and relational database design.
  • Expertise in object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
  • Proven experience designing and developing robust, scalable, and secure backend services using .NET Framework and .NET Core.
  • Strong experience with front-end frameworks (React preferred; Angular/Vue acceptable).
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS (Sass/Less), and bundlers (Webpack/Babel).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and state management libraries (Redux Toolkit, Zustand).
  • Comfortable working in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
  • Experience influencing architectural decisions and driving technical strategy.

Preferred

  • Experience with design systems (e.g., Material UI) and microfrontend frameworks (e.g., Piral).
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB), data warehousing (Snowflake), and visualization tools (Power BI).
  • Familiarity with end-to-end testing tools (e.g., Cypress).
  • Experience in enterprise or SaaS environments.
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required).
  • Master's Degree or relevant certifications (Microsoft, AWS, etc.) considered an asset.
  • Prior experience in a software product or SaaS organization is strongly preferred.
