Job Description

Scope and lead technical projects within the Batch Compute domain.
Build and maintain infrastructure that powers Stripe's core systems.
Write and contribute production-level code directly to core systems.
Collaborate with the open source community to adopt new features and contribute back.
Drive operational excellence ensuring a highly available, reliable, and secure Batch Compute platform.
Minimum Requirements:
10+ years of professional experience writing high-quality production-level code.
Hands-on experience with distributed data systems (e.g., Spark, Flink, Trino, Kafka).
Proven ability to develop, maintain, and debug distributed systems using open-source tools.
Experience building infrastructure as a product, focused on user needs.
Expertise in end-to-end performance optimization of distributed systems.
Ability to scale distributed systems in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a user of batch processing systems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Track record of open-source contributions to big data systems like Hadoop, Spark, Flink, or Celeborn.
