Position Overview
You will architect and build the core mobile experience that redefines how people connect through motion-rich interfaces and real-time interactions. You'll own end-to-end native iOS development while leading technical roadmap decisions and mentoring junior engineers. This role offers direct collaboration with founders and significant influence over the product that serves millions of users seeking meaningful relationships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and own end-to-end native iOS experiences
- Lead development of motion-heavy, touch-first, highly responsive UI
- Solve for chat, notifications, and real-time interactions at scale
- Optimize for cold starts, animation smoothness, and low latency
- Mentor junior engineers and own technical roadmap
- Enforce code quality standards and conduct architecture reviews
- Collaborate closely with design, product, and backend teams
Must Have Criteria
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling B2C iOS apps with focus on performance and UI polish
- Deep expertise with UIKit, Core Animation, and Swift concurrency
- Proficiency with Instruments for profiling and optimization
- Experience building in-app chat, push notifications, or real-time video/audio features
- Knowledge of managing latency across devices
- Experience shipping 01 features or apps from scratch
- Strong attention to detail in gesture choreography, transitions, and layout timing
- Experience leading small teams or mentoring junior developers
- Background at product-led B2C startups or consumer platforms at scale (ideally 1M+ DAU)
- Current knowledge of latest iOS SDK developments
- Comfort with early-stage ambiguity and high ownership
