About the Role
Tekion is building the next generation of automotive retail technology. We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead AI-first and agentic experiences within our Digital Retail product areahelping dealerships deliver a seamless consumer journey across discovery, trade-in, financing, F&I, and checkout, while enabling operational efficiency for dealer teams.
In this role, you will define strategy, ship impactful customer-facing experiences, and build the underlying platform capabilities (data, workflows, tooling, evaluation, and guardrails) required to deliver trustworthy AI at scale. You will partner closely with Design, Engineering, Data/AI, Security/Privacy, Sales, and Customer Success.
What You Will Do
- Own the product strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for AI-first Digital Retail experiences across web and mobile.
- Identify high-impact consumer and dealer workflow problems that can be solved through agentic experiences (e.g., guided buying, personalized vehicle matching, trade-in optimization, finance pre-qualification, appointment scheduling, Checkout)
- Define and deliver AI agent workflows that can reason, invoke tools/APIs, and complete tasks reliably with human-in-the-loop and escalation paths where needed.
- Translate business objectives into clear PRDs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
- Partner with Data/AI and Engineering to define agent architecture requirements: tool/function calling, workflow orchestration, latency and more.
- Establish quality and safety guardrails: evaluation frameworks, prompt/tooling guidelines, PII handling, policy enforcement.
- Drive experimentation and measurement: A/B testing, staged rollouts, feature flags, and continuous improvement loops.
- Work cross-functionally to align stakeholders, manage dependencies, and ensure readiness for go-to-market and support.
- Act as a product leader at Staff level: mentor other PMs, set product standards, and influence direction across teams.
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of Product Management experience with customer-facing SaaS, eCommerce, marketplace, or workflow products; experience in automotive retail technology is a plus.
- Proven track record of owning ambiguous problem spaces end-to-end and delivering products that move business metrics.
- Experience building AI-first products, including at least one of: AI agents, agentic workflow automation
- Strong understanding of AI product risks and quality: hallucinations/grounding, safety, privacy, monitoring, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop design.
- Ability to work deeply with Engineering and Data/AI teamscomfortable discussing tradeoffs across quality, latency, cost, and operational constraints.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to write crisp product narratives and decision documents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Digital Retail domain & data-driven growth: Experience across desking, trade-in, credit application, F&I menu, checkout, and appointment scheduling; strong command of experimentation and funnel analytics.
- Platform + scale mindset: Proven ability to build shared platform capabilities (APIs, services, configuration, policy, governance) and scalable systems/processes that enable multiple product teams.
- Cross-functional leadership: Leads multi-squad, distributed onshore/offshore initiatives end-to-end; drives adoption and measurable impact through strong business acumen, prioritization, and deep partnership with Engineering, Design, Data, and GTM.
