Senior Staff Product Manager - Observability SAAS
Role Summary
We are looking for a Product Manager to help improve how customers understand the health and performance of their systems using the SolarWinds Observability platform. This role will focus on turning complex observability datametrics, logs, and tracesinto clear, intuitive insights that help customers identify issues faster and maintain reliable services.
Working across multiple SolarWinds Observability products, this Product Manager will partner closely with engineering, UX design, and product teams to build simple, effective user experiences for monitoring system health, managing alerts, and understanding operational risk. The role will contribute to features such as event management, anomaly detection, and service health insights that help customers move from reactive troubleshooting toward proactive operations.
Success in this role will be measured by improvements in product usability, customer adoption of key platform capabilities, and the ability to help customers reduce operational noise and quickly understand system health.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the development of product capabilities that help customers monitor service reliability, including service health insights, alert management, and operational dashboards.
- Work closely with UX designers and engineers to create intuitive workflows that simplify complex observability data and make it easy for customers to understand system health.
- Help define requirements for features that transform telemetry data into actionable alerts, insights, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with product teams across the SolarWinds Observability portfolio to ensure a consistent and cohesive platform experience.
- Participate in customer research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to continuously improve the user experience.
- Contribute to product roadmap planning and help prioritize enhancements that improve operational visibility and reduce alert fatigue for customers.
- Partner with engineering teams to support the development of intelligent monitoring features, including anomaly detection and automated insights.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, UX-focused product roles, or similar technical roles.
- Strong interest in building intuitive user experiences for technical products or platforms.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple product workflows and user-facing features.
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise software platforms is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, design, and product teams.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn about observability, reliability practices, and modern cloud environments.
