Job Description
We are looking for a Manager, Product Design who excels in planning, processes, and research-driven decision-making. This role requires a leader who can optimize design operations, lead research efforts, and leverage data insights to drive confident design decisions. A background in Product Management is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Planning:
- Establish and improve design workflows and processes for efficiency.
- Define and track business + product metrics to measure design impact.
- Implement best practices for streamlined execution and collaboration.
Research & Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Lead and integrate design research into the core process.
- Analyze user behavior, data trends, and research findings to shape design strategies.
- Guide teams in making data-informed design decisions.
People Management & Team Growth:
- Build and nurture a high-performing design team.
- Define growth paths, review processes, and quality benchmarks.
- Provide mentorship and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Product/Project Management:
- Ensure end-to-end delivery of projects with a structured design approach.
- Define the design process for each project to align with business goals.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (PMs, Engineers, Researchers) to ensure design success.
- Advocate for user-centric design by incorporating business and industry awareness.
Skills and Experience
- 9+ years of experience in Design Operations, Design Research, or Project Management.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in data-driven design decisions.
- Previous experience in leading design teams and defining operational frameworks.
- Background in Product Management is a plus.
