Staff Performance Engineer I - Azure, Jmeter

Scope:

. We are building a highly resilient, scalable, and world-class SaaS-based Transportation Management System (TMS) using modern technologies.

. To achieve this, we need a strong Performance Engineering team within our Product Development (PD) organization.

. As a Performance Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the team, ensuring application performance, and proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.

What you'll do:

. Lead the design and execution of comprehensive performance test strategies across applications.

. Develop test scenarios and guide junior engineers in creating efficient performance scripts.

. Execute end-to-end performance testing, analyze results, and resolve bottlenecks.

. Collaborate closely with developers and DevOps to address regressions and optimize code for performance.

. Evaluate and implement new tools, features, and technologies through proof-of-concept initiatives.

. Prepare and present detailed performance reports, effectively communicating insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

. Build and maintain test automation frameworks and utilities to improve efficiency.

. Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

What we are looking for:

. Experience: 10.5-14 years in Performance Testing and Engineering.

. Expertise: Deep knowledge of performance testing methodologies with strong expertise in JMeter.

. Diagnostics: Skilled in analyzing thread dumps, GC logs, and heap dumps to troubleshoot performance issues.

. Cloud and other tools: Experience with major cloud platforms (Azure preferred), Kafka, Splunk and AppDynamics

. Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python and shell scripting.

. Operating Systems: Experience with Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.

. Databases & APIs: Good understanding of REST APIs and experience with Azure SQL Server databases.

. AI skills: Exposure to Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies.

. Agile Methodologies & Tools: Comfortable working in Agile environments with strong expertise in Jira, a solid understanding of the performance engineering lifecycle, and active participation in Agile ceremonies.

. Capacity Planning & FinOps: Strong understanding of FinOps principles with hands-on experience in capacity planning, cost optimization, and resource utilization exercises on Cloud . Domain: Prior experience in enterprise Supply Chain applications like TMS, WMS, OMS or e commerce platforms is a strong plus.
