Software Engineers at Qualcomm collaborate across systems, hardware, architecture, testing, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and deliver high-performance, innovative technologies.

About the Team

Join Qualcomm's expanding team dedicated to advancing machine learning (ML). Our team enables the on-device inference of trained neural networks using Qualcomm's advanced heterogeneous computing capabilities—eliminating reliance on the cloud. Our Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine (SNPE) SDK helps developers run neural network models trained in various frameworks on Snapdragon platforms efficiently and with minimal power usage.

Your work will directly impact billions of devices globally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and commercialize ML solutions, such as the SNPE SDK, on Qualcomm SoCs.
  • Implement features in the ML software stack.
  • Port AI/ML solutions across various platforms and optimize for hardware accelerators (CPU/GPU/NPU).
  • Handle deployment of complex software stacks using C/C++ with modern best practices.
  • Track industry and academic developments to continuously improve our software and ML solutions.


Work Experience

  • 9+ years of relevant experience in software development.
  • Strong foundation in processor architecture and system design fundamentals.
  • Proficient in C and C++ development.
  • Experience in embedded systems development or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across global teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in embedded system development.
  • Expertise in C, C++, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
  • Experience with Linux kernel or driver development is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of OS concepts.
