About The Role
The Global System Support Centre is central point of Engineering Support contact for all regional Customer Support teams to resolve the system related issues in the field.
As a Staff Engineer in the Global System Support Centre, you serve as the central escalation point between Field Support and Engineering teams, diagnosing and resolving complex field issues across Enphase Energy's residential solar and storage ecosystem. Supporting products from NPI through EOL, you help ensure our solutions meet the highest quality and reliability standards in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
System-Level Field Support
- Act as the technical owner for critical customer and field-reported issues.
- Provide end-to-end system-level diagnostics and guidance to field and support teams to rapidly contain and resolve issues.
Root Cause Analysis & Deep Diagnostics
- Perform in-depth root cause analysis of complex systems and embedded software behavior using logs, telemetry, and field data.
- Identify systemic weaknesses across hardware, firmware, and cloud interactions.
Product Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Partner closely with Product Line Management (PLM), R&D, and Quality teams to drive resolutions for field issues
Escalation Management
- Take ownership and drive executive-level escalations to resolution.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and field service teams to ensure timely and effective resolution for field issues.
Fleet-Wide Containment & Automation
- Collaborate with the Data Science team to detect fleet-wide trends and emerging issues.
- Design and deploy fleet-wide containment strategies, including proactive fixes.
- Develop scripts and automation tools to enable scalable, preventive system-level issue containment.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Create and maintain high-quality troubleshooting guides, technical memos, and Confluence documentation.
- Actively upskill global field and support teams by sharing best practices and deep technical insights.
Who you are and what you bring:
- B.E/B.Tech in Electrical engineering with 8 years of experience or M.E/ M.Tech in Electrical engineering with 6 years of experience or Ph.D in Electrical engineering with 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of solar, energy storage, Power Electronic devices and Embedded systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including information consolidation and presentation
- Should have a can-do attitude and be a team player in a cross-functional environment
- Proactive, flexible, and innovative mindset with analytical problem-solving skills, demonstrating strong ownership
- Highly organized, able to multi-task, the ability to work individually, within a team and with other groups
