Job Description

We are looking for anEmbedded Storage Firmware Engineerto design, develop, and maintain firmware for high performancestorage devices and controllers. In this role, you will work close to the hardware, building reliable, highperformance firmware that manages data movement and device behavior under realworld workloads.

You will contribute across the storage firmware stack, includingboot, device initialization, data path, error handling, diagnostics, performance optimization, and reliability features, working closely with hardware, validation, and system teams.

Key Responsibilities

Storage Firmware Development

• Design and implementembedded firmwarefor storage devices such as SSDs or storage controllers.
• Develop firmware modules fordevice initialization, command processing, and data movement.
• Implement and maintainstate machines and control logicfor reliable storage operation.
• Implement recovery mechanisms to ensure data integrity and device reliability.
• Optimize firmware forthroughput, latency, and power efficiency.
• Analyze and improve performance under various workloads.
• Add robusterror detection, logging, and recovery mechanisms.
• Develop lowlevel drivers and hardware interfaces as required.
• Support firmware integration with host software and system drivers.
• Debug complex firmware and hardware interaction issues usingJTAG, logs, traces, and emulation/simulation tools.
• Collaborate with validation teams to reproduce, analyze, and fix issues.
• Support bringup and stabilization on new platforms and silicon revisions.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience inembedded firmware or systems software development.
• Strong proficiency inC/C++for embedded systems.
• Solid understanding of:
• Embedded system architecture
• Memory management and concurrency
• Low level drivers
• Interrupts and lowlevel debugging
• Experience working close to hardware in constrained environments.
• Experience withstorage firmware, SSDs, or storage controllers.
• Familiarity with flash technologies (e.g., NAND) and related management concepts.
• Exposure toperformance tuning and reliability engineering.
• Experience with RTOS or baremetal environments.
• Strong crossfunctional collaboration and problemsolving skills.
