Key Responsibilities:
Change & Release Management:
- Manage and coordinate the complete release lifecycle including planning, scheduling, and deployment of application updates and patches
- Maintain release schedules aligned with development, QA, and business timelines
- Use ServiceNow to manage and track all change and release-related activities, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
- Ensure that all release events (quarterly/weekly) are accurately tracked within ServiceNow
- Monitor release progress and update stakeholders on status, risks, and issues
- Work with stakeholders to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Release Coordination and Cutover Planning:
- Coordinate release activities across SAP modules ensuring readiness and alignment with business requirements
- Develop and manage detailed cutover plans for major SAP releases including task sequencing, resource assignment, and risk planning
- Facilitate execution of cutover plans and ensure stakeholder engagement throughout the process
- Support post-release validation and early life support
- Collaborate across business, IT, and vendor teams to ensure successful release rollouts
Requirements:
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in business analysis, SAP systems support, or IT release/change management
- Experience with SAP release and test management processes in complex enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of SAP transport management (especially using Rev-Trac)
- Hands-on experience using ServiceNow for change, incident, and release management
- Familiarity with SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA modules
- Experience working with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence
- Proficiency with Office 365, especially Microsoft Project
Skills:
- Expertise in managing SAP transports and releases using Rev-Trac
- Proficient in ServiceNow Change Management, Release Management, and Defect Tracking
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking to resolve release-related issues
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as SAP Certified Application Associate, ISTQB, or ITIL are preferred
