Job Description

Staff Accountant

Location: Bangaluru

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate monthly consolidation process, including coordinating with local accountants of our international subsidiaries to ensure timely and accurate reporting, managing eliminations and foreign currency revaluation.
  • Review and upload reporting packages received from local accountants at the international subsidiaries, reconcile inter-company balances and investment in subsidiary activity, and perform analytical review of international subsidiaries.
  • Responsible for month-end close procedures for certain of our subsidiaries, including preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis of results.
  • Maintain in Oracle monthly and daily foreign currency rates, consolidated chart of accounts and Oracle Financial Statement reports.
  • Coordinate statutory audits, and other required reporting, of international subsidiaries. Review statutory financial statements and reconcile to US GAAP.
  • Provide support for technical accounting, especially related to lease accounting in accordance with ASC 420 and upcoming ASU 2016-02.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and other deliverables as needed.
  • Contribute to the preparation of required quarterly GAAP financial reports.
  • Preparation and maintenance of stock accounting schedules and reconciliations.
  • Prepare relevant schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits; work closely with external auditors.
  • Support accounting team's commitment to timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP and the Company's internal controls.
  • Proactively identify issues and implement process improvements to streamline accounting processes.
  • Help establish and maintain policies and procedures and internal controls.
  • Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 3 - 5+ years progressive accounting experience, preferably a minimum of 2 years in public accounting and a minimum of 1 year in general, international or consolidation accounting. Big 4 experience preferred.
  • CPA, CPA eligible or working towards a CPA (strongly preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Oracle is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to execute multiple tasks, be detail oriented, committed to high quality and have the ability to adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization.
