The Staff Cost Accountant provides financial support to Manufacturing, Support, and Service teams by applying US GAAP to analyse financial data, prepare accurate and timely reports, and ensure strong internal controls. The role requires high professional and ethical standards, strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a consistent sense of urgency while handling both routine and ad hoc accounting responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close activities, including inventory module close, inventory reconciliations, preparing journal entries, account reconciliation and analysis of results.
- Standard Cost update and FIFO calculation.
- Responsible for accounting for Inventory Revaluation and Amortization, Reserve utilization, Intercompany material movement and reconciliation, Cycle Count Reconciliation and various accrued expenses.
- Partner with FP&A to help analyze and document income statement activity and variances.
- Prepare relevant schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits; work closely with external auditors.
- Support accounting team's commitment to timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP and the Company's internal controls.
- Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 3+ years progressive cost accounting experience, preferably in a high-tech arena.
- Knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) with advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Oracle.
- Must have the ability to execute multiple tasks, be detail oriented, committed to high quality and have the ability to adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
