Overview Of The Role
The
SRM Principal Specialist plays a key role in supporting the implementation and ongoing delivery of the organization's
Supplier Risk Management framework . The role focuses on identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks associated with third-party suppliers across the global supplier base.
Working closely with procurement, business stakeholders, and suppliers, the SRM Lead ensures that suppliers are appropriately segmented, monitored, and governed in line with the organization's risk management standards. The role contributes to strengthening supplier oversight, improving risk visibility, and ensuring that supplier performance, compliance, and ESG considerations are managed effectively.
The position operates as a
hands-on individual contributor with experience coordinating team activities and supporting risk management initiatives across global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution and continuous improvement of the Supplier Risk Management framework across the organization.
- Ensure risk management processes are applied consistently throughout the supplier lifecycle including onboarding, risk assessment, monitoring, and periodic reviews.
- Maintain alignment with organizational policies and governance standards related to third-party risk management.
- Collaborate with procurement and business stakeholders to ensure suppliers are appropriately categorized within the risk framework.
- Monitor supplier risk indicators including operational, financial, compliance, cyber, and ESG risks .
- Support the development and maintenance of risk dashboards, scorecards, and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility to stakeholders.
- Coordinate supplier performance management processes including performance scorecards, risk reviews, and governance meetings .
- Support monitoring of supplier compliance with ESG, sustainability, and responsible sourcing standards .
- Identify opportunities to strengthen supplier risk processes, governance mechanisms, and technology platforms.
- Contribute to the development of standardized risk assessment methodologies and control frameworks.
- Partner with procurement, compliance, and business stakeholders to manage supplier-related risks effectively.
- Act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers regarding risk and performance matters.
TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE
- 3+ years of experience in Supplier Risk Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Procurement Risk, or Third-Party Risk Management .
- Experience supporting risk frameworks, supplier governance, and risk monitoring processes .
- Experience with Coupa or similar procurement platforms is preferred.
- Strong understanding of supplier lifecycle management and third-party risk concepts.
- Ability to coordinate initiatives across multiple stakeholders in global environments.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
