Job description:

Required skills: 

L2 layer: VLAN -IEEE 802.1Q,LACP- IEEE 802.3ad,STP-IEEE 802.1D,RSTP-IEEE 802.1w,MSTP -IEEE 802.1s,LLDP- IEEE 802.1AB,SPB-IEEE 802.1aq, VXLAN,GENEVE,TRILL, sFlow.

Security: ACL, 802.1x Authentication, Port Security, DHCP Snooping,CoPP,SSH,SNMPv3 ,CLI,RBAC,MACSEC.

QOS: Class of Service (CoS),DSCP,Traffic Shaping,Traffic policing,PFC,DCBX,ECN. 

L3 Layer: L3 QoS,ACLs,NAT,PBR,DHCPv4,DHCPv6,BGP, OSPF, ISIS, RIP,static routing. 

Key Points which have to look out for:

• Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS)
• Remote Monitoring (RMON)
• Loopback detection (LBD)
• Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP)
• Multicast VLAN Registration (MVR)
• Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) snooping
• Private VLANs
• Storm control (to prevent broadcast, multicast, or unicast storms)
• Port security (to restrict MAC addresses on a port)
• IP Service Level Agreement (IP SLA) for network performance monitoring and measurement.

Note: Software Open Networking in cloud (SONIC). We need people who worked on Switches Development, need to find people who worked on the Open Source Development of Cloud.
