Job Summary:
The IT Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring smooth IT operations, delivering exceptional end-user support services, and driving operational stability. This role involves managing high-availability systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading technical projects to align with organizational goals. Candidates with experience in enterprise-level IT environments, cloud operations, and compliance frameworks, especially in the travel or airline industry, are highly preferred.
Must Have Skills (Mandatory)
- Expertise in Microsoft technologies and applications.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and compliance frameworks (ITIL, ISO, etc.).
- Proficiency in high-availability networks, disaster recovery architectures, and cloud operations (AWS or Azure).
- Technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- IT project planning and execution experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Azure, virtualization, and Unified Communication platforms.
- Expertise in firewalls, managed switches, web application firewalls, FTP, SFTP, LAN/WAN, and communication protocols.
- ITIL Foundations V3 Certified with a solid release management process knowledge.
- Proven expertise in IT infrastructure, architecture, applications development, and network operations.
- Experience in a production 24/7 high-availability enterprise environment managing mission-critical systems (ERP, CRM, Travel Reservation Systems).
Good-to-have Skills (Optional)
- Experience in the travel or airline industry.
- Strong understanding of backup, recovery, and data retention planning.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Visio, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experienced in maintaining compliant operations and ensuring successful internal and external audits.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Cloud certification (AWS or Azure) preferred.
Experience:
- 6+ years in IT operations.
- 3+ years in a production 24/7 high-availability enterprise environment.
- Extensive experience in infrastructure and operations design, deployment, and server/network management.
- 2+ years with high-availability networks and disaster recovery architectures.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must have a car and a valid driving license.
- Location: Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
