Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SMSF Accountant with strong experience in self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) accounting and compliance. The ideal candidate should be confident in independently managing SMSF accounting tasks, liaising with clients, and delivering high-quality compliance and reporting outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage end-to-end SMSF accounting and administration in compliance with Australian superannuation regulations.
- Prepare fund activity statements, annual financial statements, and annual returns to a high standard.
- Liaise directly with Australian clients to address queries, provide updates, and request necessary documentation.
- Communicate with the ATO regarding lodgements, payment arrangements, and other client matters.
- Perform research on superannuation-related matters and ensure accurate interpretation of rules and compliance requirements.
- Train and mentor junior staff members to support knowledge transfer and workflow efficiency.
- Complete daily timesheets, adhere to job budgets, and assist with preparation of client fee schedules.
- Actively participate in training sessions and continuously update knowledge of SMSF laws, regulations, and software.

Qualifications:
- CA / Inter-CA / CMA / M.Com / MBA (Finance).
- 35 years of hands-on experience in SMSF accounting and compliance.
- Proficiency in Class Super, BGL Simple Fund 360.
- Experience in managing client communication and Australian compliance workflows.
