Senior SEO Executive Job Description
Reporting to: SEO Manager / Associate Director SEO
Role Overview
The Senior SEO Executive will lead execution-driven SEO initiatives, drive performance improvements, and mentor junior team members while ensuring best-in-class SEO delivery across brands.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Execution
- Own end-to-end SEO execution for assigned brands
- Translate SEO strategies into actionable plans and timelines
- Ensure accurate implementation of on-page, technical, and content SEO recommendations
- Monitor performance, identify growth opportunities, and optimize continuously
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Work closely with website, content, and design teams to drive SEO outcomes
- Review SEO implementations and maintain quality benchmarks
- Lead internal discussions, document MoMs, and track deliverables
- Mentor and guide junior executives; review their work for accuracy and impact
Off-Page & Authority Building
- Drive backlink strategies through competitor analysis and outreach
- Manage link acquisition, negotiations, and relationship building with webmasters
- Maintain backlink, anchor text, and outreach trackers
Client & Business Support
- Actively contribute to client meetings with insights and performance updates
- Support pitch decks, audits, and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Ensure SEO activities align with overall business and campaign goals
Skills & Experience
- 24 years of hands-on SEO experience (agency experience preferred)
- Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Experience working on at least one CMS and large websites
- Clear, confident communication and problem-solving mindset Tools & Platforms
