Who We're Looking For

General Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide IREG technical support to clients on a daily basis for roaming implementation projects. Coordinates with customers to resolve technical support issues Creates and maintains documentation for roaming partners. Manages project plans based on client's expectations and responsible for implementation and testing of roaming services.

Some of What You'll Do

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

40% Support

  • Answer technical queries and implement solutions for roaming related problems

  • Perform signaling set up, testing and confirmation with roaming partner

  • Schedule testing between client and roaming partner

  • Exchange test documents with roaming partner for voice, SMS, GPRS, CAMEL

  • Perform SIM Management (exchanging SIM for testing if required)

  • Exchange IR documents with roaming partner

  • Perform general roaming troubleshooting where necessary

  • Implement and troubleshoot network Data fill

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the Roaming project and scope

  • Perform SIGOS test

20% Cross-functional team

  • Proactively address support issues by working with different teams within the Roaming Department

40% Client Support

  • Train staff on GSM testing processes and standards

  • Work with roaming department to create all roaming related documentation in accordance with GSM standards

  • Create, define and implement network requirements to enable roaming with network engineering group

  • Establish and test IREG interconnect between client and its signaling provider and/or roaming partner

  • Work in conjunction with staff to create IR documents


Job Requirements:

Technical Requirements

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Information Systems or business related field preferred (experience can replace the degree requirement)

  • 5+ year's experience in areas of technical customer support, problem management and roaming implementation

  • Strong troubleshooting and error analysis skills

  • Strong understanding of GSM standards and testing methods

Required Interpersonal Skills

  • Exceptional customer service skills and demeanor, along with the innovative ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical clients.

  • Excellent analytical, multitasking, and communication skills (both verbal and written),

  • Detail orientation and familiar with analysis and troubleshooting techniques

  • Good control and follow-up skills

  • Proactive Listening

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Good decision making skills

  • The ability to excel in a team environment is essential under limited supervision

  • Good interpersonal skills

Required Project Management Skills

  • Strong prioritization skills in a fast paced, time sensitive environment

  • Demonstrates accountability for resolution of issues

  • Ability to lead small projects with guidance

  • Project time reporting

  • Estimate/Project risk analysis

  • Identification of tasks and associated hours

  • Ability to communicate status updates to project team and management

Travel: 40%

  • May be at client location for 2-4 weeks at a time.

  • Must have valid passport to travel
