Job Description
As a Sr Remediation Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in addressing environmental challenges and safeguarding the environment. You will oversee and ensure the efficient and effective management of environmental cleanup projects, regulatory compliance, and the implementation of best practices in environmental remediation. You will lead a dedicated team of environmental professionals, manage budgets, and collaborate with various stakeholders to address and mitigate environmental challenges.
In this role, you will impact our remediation efforts to address environmental, health, and safety issues across our operations by developing and implementing effective strategies. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate potential risks. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive environmental remediation strategies that align with the organizations mission, addressing environmental challenges efficiently and costeffectively
- Lead and manage a team of environmental professionals, including engineers, scientists, specialists, and support staff, ensuring the successful execution of environmental remediation projects
- Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant environmental regulations, permits, and certifications
- Stay updated on changing regulations and industry best practices
- Oversee environmental remediation projects from inception to completion, managing project scope, timeline, budget, and quality control
- Participate in environmental assessments, site investigations, and risk assessments to determine the extent of contamination and the most appropriate remediation methods
- Support the selection and implementation of remediation techniques, technologies, and methods tailored to specific environmental challenges, ensuring effectiveness and safety
- Assist in managing the budget for environmental remediation projects, allocate resources efficiently, and seek costeffective solutions while maintaining high standards of environmental protection
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure transparency, compliance, and effective communication during environmental remediation efforts
- Promote environmental sustainability by implementing practices that minimize environmental impact and enhance ecological restoration where applicable
- Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of quality control standards in environmental remediation, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 5+ years of experience in environmental remediation
- Leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, remediation techniques, and best practices
- Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen
