Senior QA Engineer - 6+ years - Kochi - Hybrid
Role Overview
Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in manual testing and automation testing using Java Selenium. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), along with hands-on experience in API testing, database testing (SQL), and mobile testing. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to identify test scenarios.
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Java Selenium.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman/RestAssured.
- Validate data integrity through database testing using SQL queries.
- Execute mobile application testing (Android/iOS functional and regression).
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.
- Provide clear and timely test status reports and quality metrics.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Strong hands-on experience in manual testing.
- Experience in automation testing using Java and Selenium.
- Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in API testing.
- Strong knowledge of database testing using SQL.
- Experience in mobile testing (native or hybrid apps).
- Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
