The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading the planning, execution, and monitoring of the SIEM/SOC modernization program across all phases:
- Proof of Concept (POC)
- Tool selection and validation
- Managed SOC operating model redesign
- Implementation and integration
- Transition to operations and service stabilization
- Coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders (Security Architecture, Operations, Risk, Procurement) and external vendors (SIEM platform provider, MSSPs).
- Driving alignment to ABB s internal project governance (Gate Model), ensuring delivery of all required documentation and milestone approvals.
- Overseeing commercial and contractual aspects related to managed SOC services, including SLA/KPI definition, onboarding plans, and service handover.
- Managing risks, dependencies, and escalations while ensuring delivery timelines and quality standards are met.
- Preparing and presenting regular executive-level updates to CISO, PMO, and key business stakeholders.
Required Profile & Experience
The external Senior Project Manager must demonstrate:
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience in complex IT/security transformation projects.
- Proven delivery record inSIEM platform deploymentandSOC services design and transition, ideally in global or regulated environments.
- Experience managing Managed Security Services Providers (MSSPs) and third-party vendors, including contractual deliverables, SLAs, and performance oversight.
- Familiarity with industry-leading SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, Google Chronicle, PaloAlto).
- Strong knowledge of security operations processes, service transition, and ITIL or equivalent service frameworks.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
