Job Summary

As a Senior Product Owner - Data, Reporting & Workflow Platforms at Allvue India, you will drive the evolution of Data Platform and the reporting and workflow capabilities built on top of it. This role primarily owns the Nexius Data Platform backlog and collaborates with Credit and Equity product teams to support reporting and workflow use cases.

Nexius is Allvue's AI-ready, cloud-native data platform that provides a unified, normalized data foundation across Credit Front Office (Everest), Fund Accounting (FA), and Investment Accounting (IA). It powers analytics, reporting, and emerging AI-driven use cases for General Partners (GPs), fund administrators, and internal teams.

This role requires an experienced, data-savvy product leader who quickly builds product expertise on our core credit and equity workflows, can identify and resolve data quality and modeling challenges, and can partner effectively with engineering, analytics, and reporting teams. The role will also contribute directly to Reporting initiatives, D&A data Quality Advisory, and may curate backlog for workflow solutions

Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Delivery

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog for the Nexius Data Platform, with focus on data model standardization, normalization, enrichment, and reporting enablement.
  • Define and maintain business, analytical, and reporting data models that support dashboards, KPIs, regulatory reporting, and AI use cases.
  • Support workflow product owners by prioritizing data platform capabilities required to enable workflow solutions that depend on high-quality, consistent data across Credit and Equity platforms.
  • Identify data quality gaps arising from upstream workflow systems and define platform-level approaches to remediation and standardization.
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to refine and implement scalable data ingestion and transformation capabilities that supports the execution of Allvue's data and AI strategy through prioritized platform enhancements
  • Translate reporting and analytics requirements into clear, structured data definitions within Snowflake.

Reporting & Analytics Enablement

  • Partner with analytics and reporting teams to design reusable datasets, semantic layers, and Power BI dashboards aligned with business priorities.
  • Ensure Nexius delivers accurate, validated, and timely data for reporting, analytics, and AI-driven insights.
  • Support reporting use cases across private credit and private equity, including portfolio performance, exposure, risk, valuation, and operational metrics.

Collaboration & Execution

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, data architects, analytics teams, and workflow product owners to prioritize enhancements and resolve data issues.
  • Work with market-facing Product Managers to translate business needs into reusable data objects, APIs, and reporting-ready datasets.
  • Engage with implementation, client solutions, and operations teams to understand real-world data issues and customer expectations.
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, performance, and usability across critical datasets.

Governance & Data Quality

  • Contribute to and uphold data quality, lineage, metadata, and documentation standards in partnership with architecture and engineering.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to establish monitoring, reconciliation, and exception-handling processes.
  • Ensure adherence to security, access control, and compliance requirements across reporting and data consumption layers.

Requirements

General Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Data Product Management, or Business Analysis within SaaS, fintech, or asset management.
  • Have worked on Private and Public Credit and Equity domain
  • Proven experience owning and prioritizing data, analytics, reporting, or platform backlogs.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end data lifecycle ingestion, transformation, modeling, governance, and consumption.
  • Hands-on experience working with reporting tools such as Power BI, including datasets, KPIs, and dashboards.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and architecture teams to translate business logic into scalable data solutions.

Domain Expertise

  • Strong understanding of private capital workflows, including:
  • Front Office (deal management, portfolio monitoring, exposure tracking)
  • Back Office (Fund Accounting, Investment Accounting)
  • Familiarity with industry data models used by GPs, fund administrators, and asset managers.
  • Experience working with or alongside data vendors in the private credit / private equity space and understanding industry benchmark approaches.
  • Exposure to platforms such as Everest (Front Office), FA, IA, WSO, Investran, Geneva, or equivalent systems preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Working knowledge of Snowflake (schema design, data modeling, performance considerations).
  • Strong understanding of SQL, data warehousing concepts, and analytics enablement.
  • Experience supporting Power BI or similar BI tools.
  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and secure data sharing practices.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking mindset with a data-driven approach to prioritization.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across product, engineering, and business teams.
  • High ownership, ability to work independently, and comfort operating in a cross-product, ambiguous problem space.

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent required
