Job Summary

Join Cadence's VEM team, a key R&D group advancing electromagnetic (EM), thermal, and multiphysics technologies within the Virtuoso platform. This team builds the EM and thermal modeling capabilities that power today's most advanced semiconductor designs, including 2.5D/3DIC and heterogeneous integration flows.

In this role, you'll work on the Virtuoso Heterogeneous Integration toolset, helping develop nextgeneration solutions for EM analysis, thermal analysis, RC extraction and multifabric modeling across IC, package, and system domains.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated Software Engineer to contribute to cuttingedge multitechnology design, including crossfabric implementation, die stacking, and multiphysics analysis-all within a supportive, innovative, and highly collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build, troubleshoot, and debug stateoftheart EDA software features and services.
• Scale performance across runtime, memory footprint, and CPU/GPU utilization to support nextgeneration, largescale designs.
• Analyze advanced layout crosssections and translate insights into robust algorithms and product features.
• Deliver innovative, customercentric solutions by leveraging and extending existing tool capabilities.
• Drive process excellence: define improvements, manage schedules and dependencies, and own deliverables endtoend.
• Apply ML/AI techniques to automate workflows and improve engineering productivity and quality.
• Collaborate globally with R&D, Product Engineering (PE), and Application Engineering (AE) mentor junior engineers and foster best practices.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics

Experience and Technical Skills required

• 15+ years of software development experience in electronic circuits/EDA/layouts.
• Strong programming skills (C++, SKILL, AI programming platform)
• Good understanding of an electronic circuit/parasitic/EM/thermal analysis will be a plus.
