About Us

We are a holding company managing multiple pest control and pool service brands. We're an in-house team seeking an ownership-minded paid search expert to scale our location-based advertising programs.

What You'll Own

  • Google Ads strategy and execution across multiple brands (text ads, Performance Max, conversion tracking, Google Local Service Ads)
  • Offline conversion uploads and advanced tracking implementation
  • Complex multi-brand account architecture and campaign structures
  • Regular performance monitoring, optimization, and stakeholder reporting
  • Future channel expansion (AI chatbots, emerging ad platforms)

Must-Haves


  • Deep Google Ads expertise automated bidding strategies, search term management, conversion optimization
  • Pest control/home services experience must understand pest-specific terminology and be able to differentiate between pest types (ants, termites, bedbugs, spiders, rodents, gophers, voles, moles, etc.) to build targeted campaigns beyond generic pest control keywords
  • Landing page optimization obsession capable of building landing pages hands-on (we use WordPress but open to faster builders) or effectively coordinating WITH_REPLACED our content team to drive conversion rate improvements
  • Google Local Service Ads UI experience comfortable managing LSA campaigns across multiple locations
  • Flawless English written and spoken communication you'll work directly WITH_REPLACED internal stakeholders daily
  • Detail obsession + speed fast implementation without sacrificing accuracy
  • Autonomous mindset we need someone who owns this program, not manages tasks

Your Typical Week (35 Hours Hands-On Keyboard)


This is a high-output role. WITH_REPLACED 3-5 hours of meetings weekly, you'll spend the rest driving continuous optimization across our portfolio. Here's what ownership looks like:

Search Term Management (6-8 hours/week)

  • Twice-weekly deep dives into search term reports across all 7 brands
  • Identify and negative out irrelevant queries, add high-performing terms as keywords
  • Analyze match type performance, adjust exact/broad balance based on conversion data
  • Document learnings and patterns across different service types and pest-specific queries (termite vs. ant vs. rodent search behavior)

Campaign Performance Analysis (5-6 hours/week)


  • Daily monitoring of key metrics (impressions, clicks, conversions, CPA) across brands
  • Weekly deep-dive into performance by campaign, ad group, geo, and time of day
  • Identify underperforming campaigns or anomalies requiring immediate action
  • Cross-brand performance synthesis what's working in pest control that applies to pool

Geo & Coverage Optimization (3-4 hours/week)


  • Review location bid adjustments and coverage area settings
  • Update radius targeting as branches expand/contract service areas
  • Ensure campaigns align WITH_REPLACED actual service territory across 25+ branches
  • Monitor geographic performance trends and adjust budgets accordingly

Landing Page Optimization & Testing (3-4 hours/week)


  • Build and launch new landing pages for pest-specific campaigns (termite pages, rodent pages, etc.)
  • A/B test headlines, CTAs, form placement, and content structure
  • Analyze conversion rate data and implement improvements
  • Coordinate WITH_REPLACED content team on messaging when needed
  • Maintain page speed and mobile optimization standards

Ad Copy Testing & Refresh (4-5 hours/week)


  • Develop and launch new ad copy variants across brands and pest types
  • Analyze ad strength scores, implement RSA improvements
  • Retire underperforming ads, promote winners
  • Maintain brand voice consistency while optimizing for CTR and conversions

Bidding & Budget Management (1-2 hours/week)


  • Monitor automated bidding performance, adjust targets as needed
  • Redistribute budgets based on seasonal demand and branch performance
  • Review and update bid strategies (Target CPA, Maximize Conversions, etc.)

Monthly Campaign Builds & Updates (4-6 hours/week)


  • Set up new campaigns for service launches, seasonal offers, pest-specific promotions, or new branches
  • Build out pest-specific campaign structures (separate campaigns for termites, bed bugs, rodents, etc.)
  • Update hours of operation across local campaigns
  • Refresh seasonal messaging (quarterly service pushes, peak season adjustments)
  • Maintain campaign naming conventions and organizational structure across portfolio

Conversion Tracking & Data QA (30-45 minutes/week)


  • Weekly sanity checks on conversion tracking accuracy
  • Upload offline conversions (phone call outcomes, completed jobs)
  • Flag any discrepancies between Google Ads and CRM data

Reporting & Insights (3-4 hours/week)


  • Prepare weekly performance summaries for stakeholders
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and action items across brands
  • Document tests, learnings, and strategic recommendations
  • Build and maintain dashboards for real-time visibility

Strategic Initiatives & Testing (3-5 hours/week)


  • Launch structured experiments (landing page tests, audience tests, etc.)
  • Research new features, beta programs, or platform updates
  • Competitive analysis and market research for pest-specific keywords
  • Plan next month's priorities and optimization roadmap

Microsoft Ads Management (2-3 hours/week)


  • Mirror top-performing Google campaigns
  • Monitor performance and adjust based on platform differences
  • Manage search term reports and negative keyword lists

Ad Hoc & Cross-Brand Coordination (2-3 hours/week)


  • Quick-turn campaign updates for promotions or urgent needs
  • Collaborate WITH_REPLACED content team member on messaging and targeting
  • Troubleshoot technical issues or tracking problems

The Bottom Line: This role requires someone who thrives on continuous optimization, doesn't wait to be told what to do, and can juggle multiple brands without losing sight of details. You'll need to be comfortable working independently 90%+ of the time while staying aligned WITH_REPLACED business goals.
