Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Network Architect (Level 3 Network Engineer) to design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in WAN/LAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, cloud networking, and security technologies, and be able to troubleshoot complex, multi-vendor environments. This role requires independent problem solving and participation in architecture and design decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Design & Architecture
- Design and implement enterprise network solutions across WAN, LAN, and WLAN.
- Develop scalable, secure architectures aligned with business needs.
- Work on SDN/SD-WAN and cloud network integrations (Azure preferred).
- Implementation & Operations
- Deploy and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
- Implement and support Fortinet security products and related applications.
- Manage Meraki or equivalent switching and wireless platforms.
- Work on Palo Alto SASE solutions for secure access and connectivity.
- Routing, Switching & Protocols
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
- Manage IPVPN, MPLS, enterprise WAN designs and IPv4/IPv6 deployments.
- Implement IPSEC VPNs and other secure connectivity solutions.
- Network Security & Optimization
- Implement and optimize QoS and VoIP performance.
- Ensure secure connectivity using VPNs, firewalls, and SASE.
- Participate in security design and compliance efforts.
- Wireless & Monitoring
- Support and troubleshoot enterprise wireless LANs (Aruba a plus).
- Use monitoring and diagnostic tools such as PRTG and RANCID for proactive monitoring and tuning.
- Troubleshooting & Incident Management
- Perform advanced Level 3 troubleshooting across network layers.
- Diagnose complex network and application connectivity issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
- Manage high-priority incidents to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work with cross-functional teams including applications, infrastructure, and business units.
- Explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Align network solutions with operational needs, especially in manufacturing or enterprise environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years in network design, implementation, and architecture.
- 8+ years supporting WAN/LAN/WLAN networks at Level 3.
- 3+ years with SDN / SD-WAN, cloud networking (Azure preferred), Fortinet solutions, and Meraki platforms.
- 2+ years with Palo Alto SASE.
- Expert-level experience with Cisco and Juniper networking technologies.
Technical Expertise
- TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6
- MPLS, VPN, IPSEC
- Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
- Enterprise WAN and telecom architectures
- QoS and VoIP optimization; wireless networking (Aruba preferred)
- Monitoring tools: PRTG, RANCID
